Pomario

Pomario

Between Tuscany and Umbria on the Orvietani and Trasimeno hills, in the province of Perugia, the Pomarium Winery positions its estate. We can define it as "Aristocratic" because the Spalletti Trivelli family descends directly from Venceslao Spalletti Trivelli - Rasponi, nephew of Carolina Bonaparte, as owners and owners of the property since the beginning of 1900. The old vineyards planted on the Orvieto area, enjoy that adaptation to the climate of the high hills of the Trasimeno. Rich earth, in skeleton, sources of water and perfectly exposed to solar irradiation, are the fundamental elements for high quality productions.

A few hectares of vineyards consisting mainly of old vines of Sangiovese, Trebbiano and Malvasia. Vineyard of the 1960s, an important biodiversity potential for the heirs Giangiacomo and Susanna Spalletti Trivelli who undertook to recover and prove the vinification of the grapes, confirming the enoic potential of these varieties. Today, a 3-hectare vineyard has been joined by a clone of Merlot, Sauvignon and Riesling for the production of molded wine, following a protocol of procedures for good organic farming practice.
