Why I recommend Primitivo di Manduria DOC Triusco
This Primitivo wine comes from Primitivo di Manduria grapes and Primitivo di Gioia del Colle. Harvested in mid-August from sapling and espalier vineyards on land overlooking the Adriatic and that of Gioia del Colle at about 350 meters above sea level. The two wines stand in concrete tanks and then pass into barriques for aging. A jovial wine with a marked longevity and a beautiful bright color. It is a wine to be tasted to grasp the evolution of the fruit that feels full.
We drank it for you to accompany a particularly tasty dish, cardoncelle vegetable soup and lamb.
Characteristics of Primitivo wine:
Primitivo Triusco di Rivera in the glass is immediately a lot of stuff for this Apulian wine based on Primitivo: Crystalline body and structure, intense and deep amaranth color and purplish rim, colors the glass and shows the powerful consistency with slow and wide arches. On the olfactory examination the impact of the small fruit: blackberry, black currant, dried black sour cherry. A hint of jam and light spiciness of toasted almonds and vanilla. On the dry palate lots of tannin still a little astringent, a little rough; full bodied wine, quite soft.
Recommended pairings:
Primitivo Triusco 2019 of Rivera with Cardoncelli mushrooms and baked potatoes; vegetable omelettes; fried shelled snails; Cardoncelle vegetable soup and lamb meat, semi-hard and aged cheeses with various cold cuts; Vegetables and vegetables in EVO oil; dried fruit.
Uncork Primitivo di Manduria DOC Triusco 2019 Rivera and serve at a temperature between 16 - 18 ° C, in a Ballon glass.
Winery:
Cantina Rivera .... Long centuries have passed and selection lists of varietal clones have led to the affirmation of the great Apulian winemaking potential of black berried grapes: Nero di Troia...Rivera
