The winemaker recommends Raboso Piave DOC 2013

Raboso Piave DOC Veneto in the flat Piave valley perhaps owes its name to the angry reaction to the very acidic and astringent impact that both the grape and the wine have on the palate. The thick skins allow good resistance to disease and rot. A careful and soft vinification and that Raboso could be the Veneto's answer to Nebbiolo or Sangiovese.

Characteristics of Raboso wine:

Raboso DOC Piave di Ornella Molon, long maturation allows it to be harvested late, obtaining a wine with an intense ruby red color and garnet reflections. Clear, brilliant and consistent wine with 13.50% vol. A vinous bouquet, pleasant notes of cherry, aging, ripe fruit. The taste is austere, well balanced, full-bodied, velvety with aging, the finish is persistent.

Recommended pairings for Raboso wine:

Dish that is preferred with Ornella Molon's Raboso Piave DOC 2013 wine, according to food and wine tasting experiences, on polenta, tortellini with meat sauce, rabbit cacciatore, roast pork loin, game, hand-made troccoli with lamb sauce, cheese medium and seasoned.

Uncork and leave to air out before serving at a temperature of 16 - 18 °C. in large ballon goblet.
