Why I suggest Brunello di Montalcino 2013

Coming from the production area of Bolgheri and San Polo and Montluc, the favourable climate with temperatures that are optimal for the cultivation of the vine. The temperature at the time of the ripening of the grapes determine the good increases in the level of sugar, encouraging the development of aromas. The harvest carried out in weather conditions ideal, allows you to complete the maturation. The vintage is being heralded as one of the best vintages ever able to stand for great balance and elegance.

The Sommelier: The grapes are 100% Sangiovese, has produced a wine of ruby red colour with shades of garnet and very good alcohol content 14.00% vol. The predominant fragrance of fresh fruit and notes of light vanilla and coffee. In the mouth it expresses a pleasant drink, light tannins and well-defined, good persistence.

Food pairings: Excellent wine to grilled meats and roasts. Perfect with the classic fiorentina steak, the platter of prosciutto di Parma and culatello di Zibello, medium-aged cheeses, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino Sardo, scamorza di bufala-smoked also with fish dishes such as mullet in tomato in guazzetti and baccalà alla livornese.

Uncork and decant one hour before serving at a temperature 16 - 18 °C. in the cup Ballon large.
