Why I suggest Sondraia Bolgheri Superiore DOC

Coming from Bolgheri production area a few meters above sea level, characterized by a favorable climatic trend with optimal temperatures for the cultivation of the Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties. The temperature variations at the time of ripening of the grapes determine good increases in the sugar content, favoring the aromatic development of the varietals. The harvest carried out in ideal weather conditions allowed the grapes to complete ripening. The vintage is announced as one of the best vintages, always able to stand out for its great balance and elegance.

The Sommelier: Blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes; ruby red wine with good intensity, violet reflections and excellent alcohol content, 15.00% vol. Predominant fragrance of fresh fruit and nuances of aromatic herbs. In the mouth with a pleasant juicy drink, light tannins, good persistence.

Suggested pairings: Excellent wine on grilled and roasted meats. Perfect with the classic Florentine steak, the Parma ham and culatello di Zibello platter, medium-aged cheeses, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino Sardo, smoked buffalo scamorza cheese.

Uncork and decant an hour before, serve at 16-18 ° C. in large Ballon chalice.
