Description

Why I suggest Le Clos Monopole

The particularity of the Clos of Pouilly-Fuissé, 100% Chardonnay, derives above all from its geological composition: from clays, (deep colluvio), gives consistency and power to the wine, joins the portion from the marl, (marneux stony brown soil), highlighting finesse with subtle citrus notes. Everything is sublimated by the upper part made of hard limestone, (white limestone), with very delicate notes and mint flowers, ensuring freshness and elegance during the evolution in the bottle. This wine, with the signature of its winemaker, is therefore the most representative and the biggest white wine from Burgundy. Its aging potential can exceed the decade.

The Sommelier: Classic color of the straw-yellow Chardonnay with green hues, the wine is bright and clear, with an alcoholic component of 13.50% vol. Powerful bouquet with notes of citrus, menthol, toast, as well as some buttered notes. A very beautiful, fresh, mature, fine and mineral expression. On the palate, remarkable wine, fleshy, powerful, which reveals all the power of clay soils and full maturity. Harmony: concentrated, dense with a long persistence. Aging potential: 8 years.

Recommended pairings: Noble fish: sole, turbot, salmon; Lobsters, scallops; poultry and white meats, cream with mushrooms.

Uncork and serve at a temperature of 12 - 14 ° C in a Renano glass.

The Vincent family, owner since 1862, produces wines of exceptional quality, improving the privileged situation of its 40-hectare estate. The vinification of Antoine Vincent, in the fifth generation, is an intelligent mix ... Go to the card
