Why I suggest Capo Ferro Cannonau di Sardegna DOC
A Mr. wine, produced from grapes Cannonau from vines 35 years, planted in the valley of Oddoène, Dorgali (NU), in the area of the Gennargentu National Park, Sardinia.
A complex wine full of taste is not very challenging. Wine by the character “young” and very long life.
The Sommelier: the Product to the grapes Cannonau in purity of Gallura, a dry wine consisting of an intense ruby red colour with ruby reflections. On the nose we have immediately the fruit aromas of ripe raspberries, plum, pink pepper, rose hips, and vanilla. Power alcohol 15% vol. little perceptible.
The saporein the mouth it is fruity, immediately warm, soft, with tannins and moderate freshness date by the marked acidity and minerality, dampen the imposing structure of the alcoholic. Wine very balanced and with excellent structure, the finish shows a note of bitter almond typical of the Vermentino.
Combinations recommended: excellent with sushi, shellfish and seafood, prawns, raw prawns, Risotto and pasta with bottarga. Seconds of fish in the sea, in salt or grilled, white meats. Excellent with fresh cheeses and soft cheese or semi-hard like the pecorino Sardo.
Uncork and serve after an hour at a temperature of 16-18°C in the chalice Ballon great.
Winery & Distillery: The Sardinia, a fantastic island that continues to surprise us always. The seemingly distant holds areas of natural beauty sometimes rugged and wild and the history of a people essay that is of their own resources... go to the card.
