Why I suggest Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2018
Coming from the production area of Montalcino Montluc area, a favorable climate for the cultivation of Sangiovese vines. The temperature changes at the time of ripening of the grapes determine good increases in the sugar content. The harvest, carried out in ideal atmospheric conditions, allows to complete the maturation. The vintage is always able to stand out for its great balance and elegance.
The Sommelier: The vinification of 100% Sangiovese grapes has produced a ruby red wine of excellent alcohol content, 14.20% vol. Aromas and fragrance of fresh fruit and light notes of vanilla. In the mouth immediately warm is expressed with a pleasant drink, well-defined tannins, good aromatic persistence.
Recommended pairings: Excellent wine on pasta and risotto with mushrooms or truffles, grilled and roasted meats. Perfect with fiorentina, the platter of Parma hams and culatello di Zibello, medium-aged cheeses, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino Sardo, smoked buffalo scamorza also with fish dishes such as mullet with tomato sauce in stews and cod Livorno style.
Uncork and decant an hour before, serve at a temperature of 16 - 18 ° C. in a Ballon glass.
